![]() ![]() Dr. Ondreyco is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. She came to Phoenix in 1980 at which time she established what is now known as Palo Verde Hematology Oncology, Ltd. Dr. Ondreyco graduated from Ohio State University in 1972 with a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology. She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and the Ohio State Women's Swim Team. She graduated from Ohio State Medical School in 1975. She completed her training in Internal Medicine from 1975 to 1978 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, and then completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Utah form 1978 to 1980. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology. Dr. Ondreyco then came to Phoenix to set up practice in Hematology and Oncology, which became Palo Verde Hematology Oncology. In 1984, Dr. Ondreyco married Phoenix Attorney, William M. Lawson, Jr. They have six children -- Michael, Benjamin, Zachary, Jacob, and twins Caleb and Clara. Dr. Ondreyco enjoys many activities though her greatest love is fishing. Mounted on the wall at the Thunderbird office is a 72-pound Alaskan King Salmon that she caught on her honeymoon. Her other credits include: Dr. Ondreyco has been published in such journals as: Archives of Internal Medicine, Cancer, American Journal of Surgery, and Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics. She has been named as one of America's Top Breast Cancer Doctors, Featured in Redbook October 2001 article "Breast Cancer: News that could Save Your Life", mentioned in The Ladies' Home Journal article "The Best Doctors for Women", April 2002, and has been listed as one Phoenix Magazine's Top Docs.
