Dr. Feinstein is from Brooklyn, New York. He came to Phoenix in 1998 and joined Palo Verde Hematology Oncology in 1999.

Dr. Feinstein graduated from the State University of New York School of Medicine at Buffalo in 1964.

After serving a medical internship at the Maimonides Medical Center of Brooklyn he served in the United States Army Medical Corps as Chief, Preventive Medicine Branch US Army Japan where he received the Army Commendation Medal.

He completed his Internal Medicine training at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1970, followed by a Fellowship in Hematology at the same institution. He then served as Medical Oncology Fellow at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York as well as a Special Fellow in Medicine at the Cornell University Medical College.

Dr. Feinstein practiced hematology and medical oncology in New York for 26 years. He was elected to be president of his group, Hematology-Oncology Associates of L.I., PC.

He served as Assistant Clinical Professor at The State University of New York School of Medicine at Stony Brook, Cornell Medical College, and The New York University School of Medicine. He was a member of the New York State Society of Medical Oncologists and Hematologists and was on the Executive Committee as well as Membership Chairman. He was Chairman of the Membership and Political Action Committee of the New York Metropolitan Breast Group and New York Cancer Society.

In 1965, Dr. Feinstein married Linda Sault, a Clinical Psychologist. They have two sons, Robert who is an attorney living in California, and Jonathan who is a Vice President of an investment banking firm in New York.

Dr. Feinstein enjoys many activities and is an avid golfer and tennis player.
